The house is constantly needing picked up, but what house doesn't when living with a rambunctious toddler, and there are always dishes to do since there isn't enough room for a dish washer but the space isn't the issue. It's more of the life style. Here is a run down of my day and the kids are like clockwork. No, seriously, you could set your click by them!
7:15 am Malachi wants to eat and lately has leaked through his diaper. So change diaper and clothes, then feed him. He goes back to sleep and just when I think I can lay back down...
8 am Addison starts yelling "apple" for any kind of food from a pouch or "Let It Go" to watch Frozen, and if you don't respond she will come fling open the door (at which point she sees Brian and wants to climb all over him.) This would be cute if he hadn't gone to bed just 3 hrs earlier (He's working nights currently). So I get up, turn on Frozen, make 3 eggs/fruit/raisen toast, and then sit down to check my Facebook. I eat some toast and fruit and Addison's leftover eggs (some days all or nothing).
9 am If Malachi had slept this long I go and get him to finish sleeping in the living room so he doesn't wake Brian since I can't hear him from the living room. We try to go some place, get groceries or go to the park, for at least a couple hrs otherwise it's a constant battle to keep Addison quiet and out of the bedroom. It's been even more difficult since we had to start leaving the door open so Brian can get some A/C. We haven't got the extra unit for the bedroom yet.
12 pm Try to eat and put Addison down for a nap which usually means she goes down around 1 pm however lately we've been doing surf lessons at 2pm so Brian has to get up and we have to change/pack/make his lunch for work, which means Addison is only getting a nap on the 30 min drive down to the beach.
2 pm Surf lessons or some other family fun time before Brian had to go to work.
4:30 pm Brian has to leave to go to work at 6 pm cause traffic here is CRAZY! That leaves me and the kids to have dinner and watch a movie (redbox had been my best friend since we don't have any Internet for streaming currently)
7 pm I begin praying Addison will go to sleep soon.
8:30 Addison goes to bed. Some nights are easier than others. This means I am now confined to my bedroom until she falls asleep. I try to make sure I have a snack and some water and maybe another movie in the room before I lay her down.
9 pm Brian calls on his break to say good night and I usually stay up on Facebook or reading till about 10pm.
Whew that's a lot for one day and is like that every day. It's a normal-ish day for anyone with kids and a husband that works nights. So again is not really the camper that's the problem, it's life, so there's really no problem after all. :)
