So last night Brian wanted to fix the squeak in the faucet handle. He goes in there armed with a can of wd-40 and about 10min later says he can't figure out how to get it off. I walk in and in screw it. He promptly rushes me back out of the bathroom. A little bit later he screams "TURN THE WATER OFF" Apparently, he was turning something and it came up in the process. It popped off and sprayed water everywhere. After racing out to shut off the water, I find my handsome man drenched. We both just laughed. I laid a towel on the floor and walked away. He got it fixed, no squeak, and cleaned up the water. I told him there is an extra piece on the counter but he swears it didn't come from the faucet. lol My man is pretty handy but plumbing might not be his strongest suit.

That moment when you fix the toilet, then a pipe springs loose and water starts spaying everywhere! Yeah that just happened! Lol But let me back up.
So its been a long day traveling but I was not about to let a missing seal let in the sewage stink. I managed to almost fix it. Brian had to point out that I needed to remove the last screw.... and maybe I dropped it down the poop pipe :/ I let Brian finish fixing it so I could take care of the kids that wanted to play in the wet/nasty bathroom with us. And besides, I put the seal back in which was my mission. I tell Brian to make sure the tube going into the toilet is screwed in cause I just had to do it when I was messing with the potty. So he uses pliers to "make sure" the plastic piece was tight. You can probably guess what happened. Well he had me get the silicone so he could fix it. After about 15ish minutes he turns the water on and all is good. ... for about 10min. Then I'm getting blasted while tying to stick my finger in the hole and pull down some towels. Addison was screaming. Malachi was happy stomping in the water. Brian ran out and turned the water back off. Oh and did I mention this was at 10:30 at night. I was impressed He did manage to fix it correctly without silicone and it's good.... although I half expect to wake up in the middle of the night to rushing water... just kidding. ..sort of lol I have a pretty handy husband and it's a good thing cause we tend to have these "you'll laugh later " moments. Although I did think this was pretty funny. |
AuthorI'm a stay at home mommy of a beautiful little girl and a rambunctious baby boy. Although I stay at home, my home doesn't stay put lol. We travel for my husband's work and live in a 5th wheel camper full time. We also have a mini schnauzer, who is a crotchety old man. :) I love crafting, cooking, and taking pics. But most of all I love me some Jesus! Archives
